Have you removed the wire guard above the auger?Update: did a couple of ribeyes today and had the same issue. Temperature set at 525 - rose to 425 and then starts plummeting down to 330. Also tons of smoke coming out of the pellet hopper. So I stir the pellets around and all of a sudden a huge amount of them shoot down into the auger so I think it was the pellets bridging and causing a void. Both times this is happened I was using the Apple pellets, some of which are over 2 inches long and I am beginning to wonder if that is the issue and not the update at all. Never had this happen with the master blend pellets. I have only ever used Weber brand pellets. Kind of relieved if that was the issue.
