Software is very glitchy. Cook finished and the Cowboy Steak was fantastic as usual. I shut down the grill from the app and it never told me"it is now ready to power off grill" it just showed shutting down even though it already shut down... And temp was at a safe level to put the cover on. Really disappointing.....

First couple cooks I did with this update were fine, but yesterday it kept losing the temp set point though fortunately would hold grill temp. Also any timers running at the time the set point was lost went away too. Even though my SF is at the current version it would randomly show the red dot and say "update failed" like Don D was experiencing. Hopefully they didn’t reintroduce the losing set point bug that we had to deal with in a past version. I’ll try deleting the app and reinstalling to see if helps.

I've had no issues cooking, but I did notice a red dot on my app after shutdown but was too lazy to get up and turn the grill back on. Hopefully there's a quick fix or it's not very consequential.

Grilled some steaks last night. Everything went great. That red dot was gone. I assume they fixed whatever bug caused that for me anyway. Good luck to all.

I still get multiple notifications for temperature updates in the app. Every time I update the temperature, I have to tap away 2x notifications once the temperature reaches the set point. This really sucks if I haven’t opened the all in a while. I’ve had to tap through 10 notifications before I can even use the app. I’ve reinstalled the app a few times, but nothing changes. It’s been like since first purchased the grill in August 2020. Anyone else?

That's how it started by me, and just keep getting worse.

Saw that myself - it just kept flashing no matter what I did. Called it a night and went out today to prep or tonight's cook. Powered up - red dot now 'solid' and then a notice on the SF panel that the update was complete and I could shut it back down. Red dot on app gone. Weber definitely needs to beef up the talent level on its software engineering team!

I used to look forward to software updates as possibly new features, now I dread what they will break.

Did the software update today. Prior to the update I have never had a single problem with the grill. First cook with some New York steaks today which is a whopping 10 minute cook time at 500°. 03 to 4 minutes to go and the temperature starts dropping and ends up at 350 degrees before it starts coming back up again but by now the app tells me my steaks are done so I take them off and instead of being medium they are rare as can be. Wish I could go back to the old version which I never had any problem with .

I also noticed that Lowe’s doesn’t carry them anymore or the wood pellets and neither does Home Depot so I have to get them online and who knows how long those will still be available. Disappointing!

Weber is not going to get out of this market. This is too good of a cooker. Ace still carries the pellets and the grills.
