Weekday cooks

Just some sockeye salmon filets seasoned with Meat Church's The Gospel rub. So easy for a weekday meal on the SF. Everyone was too hungry to give me a chance for glamour shots, so this is the only evidence. I loved the sweet note from the rub, but my wife didn't care for it as much.

What temp did you cook them at? Nice work.

I usually do them at 425F on my cast iron grate. About 6-7 minutes skin side down, then flip and check temp after about 2-3 more minutes. All depending on thickness of course. Pull them off at around 125-130F.

One of my favorite fish. Actually salmon is my favorite. Growing up in western Washington state we would do salmon every so often. Great looking cook there. Made my tummy rumble.

Steak sandwich 😁

Man, I hate to post this after the one above. That is a tough act to follow. Just some simple chicken buzzies, Killer Hogs AP and the BBQ Rub, Sweet Baby Rays. I followed the program in the connect app for the first time and it worked well to very good results. I think I am falling in love with this cooker....

You inspired me! Added a little teriyaki glaze to them and had roasted taters and broccoli.

Those pizza look great. Is that a homemade crust?
Store bought. Not bad though. Not sure the brand as my wife buys them. I know there are some out there that aren’t very good but these are ok by us.

Would love to know the brand if could find out as I have not been able to find a good store bought brand.

Wife said it’s Caulipower. It’s like crispy thin crust. Hopefully you enjoy it. I do recommend getting sauce all the way out to the edges. I do mine on the top rack obviously. I feel that keeps the crust from getting too done on the bottom and it helps brown the goat cheese we use in the top. The heat rolls off the lid and over the top. I roll at 475-480. Any hotter and the bottom cooks too quickly.

Thank you. I am going to have see if I can find that crust this weekend and give it a try.
