SmokeFire Amazon orders

When did you get the shipping notification? I’m curious about the transit time from when you got the shipping notification until you receive this weekend.

Lowes sent me an email saying my order was in process on 1/25(the day they charged my credit card from the order end of November) and I got another email on 2/6 saying it would arrive soon. I called them to set up delivery for 2/12 and they called me back on 2/9 saying they could deliver next day, which they did.

Update: I got up this morning and looked on Amazon to see if the SmokeFire showed up (it was offline yesterday for awhile) and they showed a release date of 2/14/20 So I reordered... we will see. I probably should not have canceled yesterday, but 4 to 6 weeks? Geesh.
 
Mine started originally yesterday saying 4-6 weeks, then changed to 2-5 weeks then went to preparing for shipment yesterday afternoon. Haven’t received a shipping notification but was told it’s expected to ship by the end of the day today. They did confirm my grill is in their warehouse in Edwardsville, IL right now and would likely be 3-7 business days transit time once picked up.

Well, either there is a queue or they don’t have enough stock to fulfill preorders. Mine changed to ships in 4-6 weeks. I spoke to someone on Amazon chat and it was still the same run-around. They don’t know when it will ship until they are in stock. She gave me a $75 promo credit on my Amazon account for the miscommunication with shipping.
Always nice to clip Amazon for promo credit! It reduces your cost for the unit.
 
I'm seeing both models of the Smokefire are back on Amazon with a Feb 14th release date.

Update from my Amazon pre order today.....delivery by march 15th?!?!

Cancelled my order. Ordered through Lowes. They called me within the hour to schedule delivery on Friday.

For those of you were long wait times..there is hope!
 
Well after all the hooplah yesterday and me ending up canceling my order from Amazon because they said 4 to 6 more weeks... which apparently was some kind of glitch or whatever. So as I said earlier, I went back to Amazon and it is now showing "release" date of 2/14/20. Whatever "release" means. But in the meantime I wrote Weber an email telling them what happened and how I canceled my order. I told them I did not appreciate what Amazon did to me, and their bumbling the rollout (at least my rollout!) So I get up this morning with a nice reply from Weber saying they are sorry and that the 4 to 6 weeks does not look right and IF I would ever still buy a SmokeFire they would give me a free cover. I thanked them for their prompt reply, told them it looks like 2/14/20 and that I reordered my preorder. They are sending me a free cover for my EX6. I wanted to share this. I believe that Weber does care and they are proving it to me.
 
That’s great Brain! I’m glad Weber responded in a timely manner and provided good support even before the sale. Hopefully you will get it soon!
 
I'm in the same boat. Pre-ordered in January. When February came around, there was an issue with a gift card on my account, they made me delete and then re-add the EX6... I then got an email that my grill would be available March 27ish! I was bummed, but they just updated it to a delivery date of Feb 17-19! Let's go!
