I don't think there is a queue in the preorders though... we either had a preorder or not and should receive ours just like anyone else who preordered. I could be wrong on that, but I don't think so.

I’m hoping that’s the case and there’s no allocation until they get caught up with demand. I doubt that’s the case, I looked on Lowe’s today and you could order for delivery by the 17th.

Well, either there is a queue or they don’t have enough stock to fulfill preorders. Mine changed to ships in 4-6 weeks. I spoke to someone on Amazon chat and it was still the same run-around. They don’t know when it will ship until they are in stock. She gave me a $75 promo credit on my Amazon account for the miscommunication with shipping.

My Amazon order says ships in 4 to 6 weeks too. Thinking of just canceling and not worrying about it for a while. I have my kettle.

Lol mine said the same...but how can they determine an on time delivery date when they say we don’t know when it’s going to ship. I believe they truly have no idea when it will ship until it actually does.

Disappointed. They have really misled a lot of people on this one.

Yes, I was offered 10.00 from Amazon. I told them to keep it. and that I don't appreciate them selling things that they don't have. I also said I will not renew my Amazon Prime. I am pretty pissed. But this goes on Weber too. They have blown their launch for a lot of people. So I think I will just keep using my kettle and save a lot of money.

Sorry to read this guys, that really sucks. I ordered mine on Dec 24th from a local appliance retailer. They sell a lot of BBQs. I called them last week to order a cover and was given the impression that my grill may arrive at their store this week so I can pick it up. Fingers crossed. If I must wait a few more weeks, it won't be the end of the world as it's not great grilling weather here anyway.

I'd really like to see some videos from Harry Soo and Babyback Maniac with their first fire-up and initial burn-in. Maybe their first cook too. I would expect that Weber would ensure that they get theirs quickly.

Same boat as the rest here. Got a credit from Amazon but no ETA for shipping. I did have a lengthy discussion on the concept of pre-order and that by accepting a pre-order there is an expectation that they would have the product. Likely didnt make a difference...but made me feel better

I left my order in, but will cancel if it ends up taking so long that I can just go get it from lowes or something.

Congrats! Looking forward to hearing how your setup and first cooks go compared with mine.

Regarding the preorder mess, it's hard to believe that Amazon would commit to selling them if Weber hadn't given them a number for what their allotment would be. I wonder if Weber is having trouble getting these out? Hindsight is 20/20, but I'm sure most people would have been happier if they had held off on announcing it and accepting preorders until they had a better idea of what they were going to be able to produce. Hopefully it gets resolved quickly and this doesn't tarnish the launch of such a massive new product for them.
