This 04008 firmware update did nothing for my problem of reaching 600. I am more than disappointed. We have waited for close to a month to get this and it does not work. It only got to 500 after 55 minutes. I used Weber pellets and stirred them to make sure there was no void in the hopper. My controller says that I am updated and running the 1.2 June OS and my IOS app is 0.95. I have a new Auger and pellet slide for my EX4. I hope it works for the rest of you with this issue.

Got mine updated. Turning it off and on didn’t do it, had to do the shutdown even though I never fired up the grill. It didn’t appear to turn on the fan or auger and only took a few minutes before said was safe to turn off.

While I will take my Macbook Pro's to my grave, I am an Android phone guy. The Play store currently only has version 0.9.3 available and I installed that when it was released on March 13th.

Anyone had any luck finding version 0.9.4?

I'm with you, no android update available. Stuck with 0.9.3 for now.

Same, on android only 0.9.3 available and on the iPhone (work phone) 0.9.5. Have not done the upgrade procedure with the iPhone yet. I would like to do it with the android as this is my preferred phone (private). Upgrading does not work as smoothly over the android phone as it does on the iPhone.

Therefore I want to wait for the android 0.9.4 release before upgrading the firmware of the SmokeFire to see if this has improved for the android.

Just updated to 4008 we'll see how it goes. Started right up set for 225 just to see what happens. Much faster for low temps. Just set it for 600 from 225 5 min to 425 , 7 min to 525, 10 min to 600. Pretty fast

Just got an email to update the firmware today. Did that but so far I don’t see anything different, just me ex4 having trouble to reach and maintain 225 degrees.

The new firmware seemed to control my temperature much better when compared to an ambient probe I added. But, it took longer than usual to get to 250 and it still won't go above 500 in less than 45 minutes. My pork chops were good but I never really got to sear them properly. Still disappointed.

Same issue here. I have the rev f auger, latest firmware and latest android version as of March 26. Using weber pellets it took a long time to get to 275 and from there to 600 it never made it. Max I can get is 500. When the grill was new I could hit 600 in 27 minutes with the old auger but my ability to hit 600 went away after about week 2. I have my doubts that any software update is going to fix this.

I got the EXACT same issue as you. I sent Weber support an email tonight and either want a new grill or my money back. Game time is over

I dialed it down to 250, put a ham on and it stayed at 250 for 3 hours without a problem, using Weber pellets.

Normally the grill would reach 600 in 20-25 minutes, the only time it wouldn't is when I switched to Pit Boss and Smokin Pellets brands. I always had trouble maintaining constant low temperatures, the update seemed to help that. .
