Weekday cooks

Thin piece of Ribeye Smokeboost for 45 minutes and a quick sear both sides for 45 seconds, tried it with some homemade chimichurri butter melted over it while it rests and fried onions and a piece of bread fried in the onion juices.

Need to perfect the butter and chimichurri rub mix, but for a first go the flavour was amazing on the steak, would imagine with a thicker piece of steak, cooked to medium rare and sliced the butter would work even better

Now THIS had to be deliciously wonderful. I can almost taste it.

Receipt please. 🙏🙏🙏
I used flanksteak for this just because I had It laying around but I think it would be better with ribeye. Grill steak get fries ready. When steak is done let it rest. While resting put cheese in a pan I just the shredded cheese that you can get in a bag for pizza. Added some pepper jack cheese milk heat on low heat keep stirring add hit sauce. Add cornstarch until desired thickness is achieved. Too thick add milk too thin add cornstarch. Fries steak red jalapeños and cover it in cheese😁

TKS for the quick reply. I’ll be fixing this as soon as Weber fixes my grill.

What's wrong with it now?
Well Weber customer service has been great in try to determine why I can’t maintain any set temperature. They have sent me EVERYTHING new to install but nothing is working. I’ve tried everything I’ve read on here, but again, nothing has helped. If I set temp at say, 4,5 or even 600 degrees, it will hold that UNTIL I open the lid and the temp drops. From there, closing the lid, the temp will not go back up.
Weber wanted photos of the front, back, computer screen, inside the grill with everything removed and the photos of the firebox. I sent them to customer support.
—————- JUST NOW RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM PEGGY, CUSTOMER SUPPORT.
They said there couldn’t find a problem and offered to buy back the grill and ALL the accessories I purchased. Won’t buyback the pellets (six bags). 😡🤬
I am literally shocked that they are doing this - a problem that is unsolvable, absolutely makes no sense!
I came on this form, fighting mad. Customer support stepping in (Peggy and Kevin) worked with me and everything was going great. Now THIS! The first steaks I grilled, you could cut with a fork and great taste. Then downhill from there. Oh well, life goes on.
At least I had a chance to copy a lot of good receipts on here 😬😂. You guys stay strong. I’m going to go dig a hole, fill it with wood and cook a steak. 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

I’ve had this happen a few times and I just change the temp a little bit and it prompts it to heat up again. I know that it needs to be properly fixed but it’s an easy work around in the short term if you want to keep cooking on it.

So you are saying to just reset the temp in order to get it higher? How long does it take to raise the temp? I’m going to try that. I’ll report back. I enjoy the grill and would really like to keep it.
I just got home after looking at a Weber gas grill at Home Depot.
As with their pellet grills, they DO NOT HAVE CERTIFIED TECHS to assist with any problems. They are also selling Treager pellet grills. But again, no techs to assist customers.
IF, if you had to purchase another pellet grill and EXCLUDING Weber’s pellet, which one would you recommend? There are a lot to choose from on the internet. I could have any of them shipped directly to me BUT - no local techs available. 😡🤬

I use Weber pellets exclusively. They are a smaller diameter than most. I’m sure there are others similar but I am not the guy to ask.

Yes I just press the knob on the grill and change the temp 10 degrees and press again I think to confirm. You can always lower it back down or whatever once it starts heating again.

TKS. As I said, I’ll try this. However, a person shouldn’t have to go through this. I have only used Weber’s pellets v

Agreed. It’s obviously a software issue.
