Weber Complimentary Ramp Accessory

Mine has been sitting in a box at my house while I was traveling. Finally got to put it in and test it out. I ran the cooker for about 3 hours and didn’t have any issues at all! Big improvement.

The only time that the temperature dropped in my chart below is when I opened the cooker to flip my chicken breasts.

Everything turned out delicious.
What software and controller setup where you using? It looks like my Apex controller software.

The probes are the Weber ones.

The software is an excel spreadsheet that I put together. I set an alarm and take a screen shot of the Weber app temps. Very labor intensive but I had so much variation early on that I wanted to understand my cooker better before trying to feed the masses or do anything expensive.

My biggest question: Does it work?

Has anyone done a long cook yet without issue?

I received my new auger and hopper accessory just now, unfortunately we are leaving for Vegas in 10 min!
Mine works! I thought it wasn’t going to at a few points but it kept doing a natural feed without assistance. I cooked from 10:00am to 5:00pm today without touching it. (Weber pellets)

So if you call Weber, they will promptly send you the hopper retrofit. I called them on Monday and I had the hopper piece by Thursday. It came via FedEx. It took 5 minutes to install. I haven't used it in a cook yet but it does look like we now have a steeper grade for the pellets to travel down.

One pain is that the chute to remove the pellets (I had a bunch in there) is right next to the auger motor box underneath the unit and unless you have a big bucket underneath - pellets sprayed all over the place. They need to add a hook for a bucket underneath to make this a little better.

Great news. Which model do you have the EX6 or EX4?

I use a 5 gallon bucket and it catches them pretty good, though a few bounce out. I was thinking about trying to 3D print a funnel that could slip into the bottom (I think there is a lip in there) to help guide them into the bucket better.
