Slicking up the hopper

Not yet, but I will before the cooks this weekend. No point in having it from my point of view.
Totally agree. Was asking because I've scoured through posts here and everywhere and havent came across but one person at another site that claims they did and still have a problem.
The dozen or so others that said they were removing it have not posted back. Which means it worked and they are cooking on their grills instead of hanging out in the forums, they havent had time to cook more meat or they are still having problems and got arrested for their actions of being so mad at Weber.

Sure can't blame them for being mad, Weber made themselves a nice dumpster fire.

I removed it and it still hasn't helped.
Thanks for the info. A few more questions:
Did you "slick up the hopper" in anyway too or just remove the guard?
Regardless of above, did you notice the hopper not moving pellets down the ramp or did it create a pocket even though the pellets looked full?

It just kept creating a void, the pellets never got low enuf to see if they were sliding or not.

Just thinking........ One of these (up to 23min off, if my math is right)

and these (2) :
DC12V 2300RPM Black Plastic Shell Massager Magnetic Vibration Motor

Total $19.00
Thoughts?

Okay, I added the PTFE Teflon adhesive tape and it made a huge difference. See before and after videos below.
Unfortunately, after filling
The hopper I went to preheat to 600 and let it burn the pellets at high rate to test, and the grill started smoking then just stopped at 55 degrees (53 outside). Did a full shutdown, reboot and tried again this time it smoked like crazy got to 75 and just stopped burning again. I waited 30 minutes or so and it finally posted an error ‘Flame not started, shutdown for safety reasons’.
I called Weber for the first time, waited 35 mins for a person to answer, told him what happened, he put me
in hold for about 5 mins, he came back on and said the Smokefire issues/calls are so high they’d have to call me back. Here it is the next day and still no call. I had also emailed them 4 days ago about the pellet hopper issue and still have not heard back other than the auto reply they received my email.
