Finally!

How about using the app on phone??
I am not seeing it in the app but I’m not positive the app is working correctly for me. I did the update it asked me too and now asked to update again but when I try it won’t do it.

Assembly was pretty easy. Took a little less than an hour. So far I am pretty pleased. I am burning in right now. 37 degrees outside right now and raining. The initial temperature when I started said 45 degrees. The times in the pictures are from start up and spaced out every 5 minutes. It hit 600 in 19 minutes! I thought that was decent considering the weather.
I’m really glad to see it got up to 600 degrees. There’s another thread with initial burn in temps and I know the first guys grill didn’t get up to 600 although it was 25 or so degrees outside where he was.

Good to hear! I'm trying another 600 test right now, hopefully I will be more successful than I was last weekend.

Just an FYI in case anyone runs into this.

I was doing some consistency tests, finished that up and did a shutdown. Then decided to do this 600 test. The internal temp of the grill was still 100+ when I restarted it. The temp continued to fall as the fan sucked cold air in. Well, the grill only waits 5 minutes to see a temp rise before it will give an E6 startup error. I pulled the heat shield off and verified that it was burning, but because it didn't see the temp rise it threw the error. Went through the full 15 minute shutdown, left the lid open to completely cool it off inside, and then restarted it. Worked as it should this time.

Not a huge deal now that I know, but I guess before you shut it down, make sure you really don't want to use it again right away.

Hopefully this is also something that can be tweaked in software to detect this condition and give it a few more minutes to wait for the temp to rise.

Yeah, there's definitely something wrong with mine. 33 degrees outside, not much wind, and it would only get up to 375 after 40 minutes.

There is a lot of smoke leaking out around the door and a few other places, but I just can't see how it could have that much of an effect. This is very disappointing. Guess it's time to give Weber's/Lowes customer service a test...

Oh no!!! Well we all lived through you being first to get it... now we can all live through your first service request.

Mine arrived today and it exceeds my expectations. It took me 70 minutes to uncrate and assemble. A quick test with some ribs and they were a success! I'm looking forward to temps warmer than 25* so I can actually stand outside with a beer and tend the smoker, lol!

I am so sorry you are having to deal with this SmokeMeister. Let us know how it goes. I do hope you get treated well and that you are not too anxious about it. I hear that they do offer good service. God bless.

I have an update on my situation. I ordered on Amazon with the release date of 2/10/20. Then with no word from the carrier or Amazon yesterday I looked to see a "Ships in 4 to 6 Weeks" on the item. I have to admit it pissed me off. I gave Amazon a hard time and refused their $10.00 gift card offer. I then went and canceled. So today I look at Amazon and it shows a 2/14/20 release date. So I ordered it again. We will see. I am convinced these things are worth waiting for but COME ON MAN!

A local hardware store here in Minneapolis said they will have a few in stock by this weekend and I'm skeptical.
