Weber support getting worse...

I just called the customer service number to try to get through again - was only able to leave a message with a call back number...though they’ve never called me back from when I called before last week. Very frustrated.
I would try again one morning as soon as they open (7am CST). I did that yesterday and waited only 5 min.
 
Like Luckylady I called May 31 to June 3 as well as emailed and still no contact. I can download the new Software but not the Firmware. I was told it was a problem with the Android app.
 
I know when I did this with Apple it had to be Bluetooth only. No WiFi. I had to forget my WiFi network in order for the download. Your phone needs to remain on the grill.
 
My WiFi was disabled. I went to recovery mode TWICE as it would not do anything until I did that. Believe me I tried every combination I could think of.
 
And my phone stayed on the grill until the battery died. Hours!

Disabled wifi does not work. You have to forget the wifi, delete the app, and reinstall before the firmware installs. The Weber tech walked me through it before I got it to work.
 
Remember everyone bashing Weber customer service, Covid 19 is screwing a lot of stuff up. They are historically one of the best customer service providers ever.
I know it sucks when your S.F. isn’t working right but they will make it happen.

It's easy to get fired up when our new grill isn't working, but the support team really is great once you get to a human. I have nothing but positive things to say.

Call first thing when they open.

Manufacturing and part availability is totally jacked right now with everything going on.
