Over seasoned??

30” slate griddle
New to griddling and I think I may have over seasoned as my griddle is tacky. I just purchased a 30” slate and have only cooked 3 meals. I seasoned with avocado oil, but when finished cooking and I wipe it clean, it is really tacky. How do I clean this up and start fresh??

Get a griddle stone, it'll take it off
 
I’m definitely not an expert but from what I’ve seen sounds like possibly too much oil when seasoning. My Slate has continued to improve the more I use it. I make sure to scrape and wipe it down while still warm and add very thin layer of avocado oil after cleaning. Might try heating it up and use scraper with paper towels to clean some off.
 
I'm not either, it happend to me , I griddle stone takes it off pretty much right away
