here if you wanted to give it ago, really easy to do, as I say I don't like apples, but was assured it was very tasty and as good as any version out the oven with a hint of smokiness as well. I used vanilla ice cream instead of the fresh cream to serve it with.
I'd got a couple of other dishes on the go as well at the time, so didn't take as many photos as I wanted to, but the puff pastry firms up nicely for a good base and is flaky and cooked after 45-50 minutes and it flips out the right way up when you tip it out, really easy. I was worried I would ruin my cast iron skillet, but shouldn't have worried, cleaned up really easy afterwards, with a little scraping. If you like apples and want to do some afters when you've finished your main meal, well worth ago.
