Just plain dead - getting tired of surprises and making excuses for late dinners

Fuse protects everything that is a connected load. If there were a “fatal” controller issue, the issue would be the controller and a new fuse would not fix it.
I have had to replace my fuse 2 years in. Same scenario.
Seems to be only on “power up” and for some reason inrush current exceeds the 1.6 amp rating (normal current draw is 85 watts at 120) and pops the fuse. Nuisance trips is what it is called. No operational issues when it happens on power up.
Curious if the original fuse was glass or ceramic? All things being equal, a ceramic fuse would seem like the more appropriate choice for the SmokeFire.

Regarding the bridging issues, it makes feel like I'm tending a fire with my tiny stick burner. It's a feature not a bug :)
