Went to Dickson Barbeque today to see the EX6. looks very nice but I will wait for some reviews from owners before I pull the trigger. Really want to know if it is good at searing steaks. Also wondering how it is in the cold weather for smoking because the metal is not very thick and its not insulated like some pellet smokers I seen.

You should be able to get some first hand reviews from here pretty soon! One of the main reasons I ordered this over the Traeger was about 100 degrees difference in cooking temps. I was already convinced of the difference by the videos I had watched. I also like how they did the auger, flavorizer bars, and the drip drawer. But as you said, we will see. Here's to you being a conservative griller!

I just posted an update in my other thread, but to recap I could only get it up to 490. Not sure if that is because of the temp or the slight breeze. I got a nice char on some brats, comparable to what I would expect from my kettle. Wanted to get a couple cooks under my belt before I tried a steak, but am looking forward to that. One thing to note, it definitely chews through the pellets when set at the max.

Got my cover and pellets yesterday but no word on my ex4 shipping . Pre-ordered as soon as it was available from Weber. Hoping to hear something soon. They originally charged my card last week, but now the charge has disappeared.

Hey SmokeMaster, have you considered getting a welding blanket to cover it during cold weather smokes? Maybe you can get it closer to 600. Cut some holes for venting etc.

I ordered a cover from BBQ guys in late January. Spoke with them today to check it's status. They told me Weber had put a shipping delay on both the covers and the grills.

I bought the grill from Amazon in January. A few days ago they changed the status from "Awaiting shipment" to "Shipment Delayed" and added an apology.

I preordered mine through Amazon. It has always said "Release date: Monday, February 10, 2020" But I have not heard from them yet... I have a scheduled delivery selected and they will communicate with me then. I have always wondered what they mean by release date. Does your order have a similar message?

Originally they said something like they would contact me concerning a delivery date. That disappeared when the delay message appeared.
