So there I go to throw our 10# Easter ham on the ol' EX4 which I just used Friday night, never had any out of the ordinary issues since I put her together and into service Feb 2020. So imagine my disappointment to have absolutely no power on the display when I plugged her in. Hmmm, Fridays shutdown was uneventful as always so I had no reason to anticipate or expect a problem today. I know I'm not the first here to experience this as I have read several threads relating to the issue. Guess I'll see if I can locate those and hopefully resolve this issue with out too much trouble. The Ham gets relegated to the Genesis Gasser this year.............better luck to me next year............. Happy Easter everyone!

Check those fuses. Start easy. Good luck. Happy Easter.

Hopefully it was the fuse. Mine was not and they ended up replacing the whole unit it was probably the fan auger or glow plug that was blowing the unit but they felt it was easier to just replace

That sucks especially on a holiday. Hopefully just a fuse and back up and running quick.

Well, quick update and don't I feel st00pid..............So I checked Weber schematics hoping to locate to suspect faulty fuse and not seeing a fuse mentioned or shown I went back to the assembly instructions and then back to the schematic. Well as I developed my game plan I walked outside to survey the obvious points of entry and as I was looking closely as I should have done yesterday I noticed that the Weber power cord while plugged into my extension cord, was not plugged into the bottom of the EX4 itself but merely dangling from the velcro harness.......ACK!!!!!!!!!o_O:ROFLMAO::sleep:😨. I'm having a good laugh about it now but in hindsight......I'm just glad I didn't bother CS with my problem. As I like to remind myself, life is for learnin..................betcha I don't make that mistake again. All is well that ends well.

That’s good, easy fix. :)
I had my grill power off and on once during cook and after saw the plug was a little loose so thought that might be cause so I try to always push it in when starting up now.

Don’t feel too bad...that’s probably a “doh” moment. But an easy peasy fix. Live long and prosper.

Glad it was that. I had the same issue once, now I always Velcro a couple loops of the cord up so it has no pressure on it. I don’t love the design of the cord but a side plug inlet would either stick out or be harder to reach.
