Weber Griddle insert for Smokefire Grills

Reverse seared these ribeyes tonight on the grill grates, flat side up. I cannot believe how awesome they work.

Do you guys use your Grillgrates on top of the existing grates or stand alone. I was going to buy the set for my Genesis and replace them but then thought might be nice to use them in the SmokeFire too. Trying to decide if i should buy the full Genesis set or a smaller universal one to try out on top first?

I just put mine on top of the existing grates and it works well.

IDK. I will update with a picture. It is the only one I use. Cannot stand the plastic handled brass pieces of junk. The triangle one is the only one that seems to last and its versatile and can get into most crevices as you manipulate it around.

Same for me. I like the versatility of having them sitting on the grates.

Grill Marks - when is you new SF due in?

Picked up set of Grillgrates for my Genesis today at Westlake. Went with full set and replaced my old porcelain coated cast iron grates. Figured I could pull couple out and use on the SmokeFire occasionally.
Planning on using both grills tonight. Salmon on the SmokeFire and chicken breasts in the Genesis.

Grill Marks - when is you new SF due in?

It was shipped from Weber and started moving on the 3rd through Seko. Its just kinda sit around since then. It shows a delivery date of the 10th but that may be a bust since Seko has not scheduled. I am sure it got there sometime Thursday or Friday though and is just sitting at the warehouse.

I tried putting my summit griddle on looks like it fits where 1 of the grill grates go perfect but just a bit too long and the lid won’t shut tight
