I finally caved. I'm such a Weber fanboy, after all these years of owning and smoking on my SmokeFire EX-4, as I mentioned in an earlier post, it ran its course.

I take delivery of the new Searwood in 4 days, and am counting the hours LOL...

I went full tilt on the new smoker and ordered the rotisserie and side shelf as well.

My question is, do the probes that I'm using on the SmokeFire just plug into the Searwood or do I need to order different probes? If the latter, can somebody send me a link to the correct probes?

Great choice! Unfortunately, the SF probes don't fit the SW. I read somewhere on here that a 3.5 mm to 2.5 mm adapter would do the trick though.

I ordered the correct probes from the Weber website. It was the only place that had them in stock!

Anxious to hear your opinion of the Searwood- seriously considering getting one myself

I love mine. The probes are only available from Weber , from what I have seen. The smoke fire ones do not work.

Thanks for clarifying. One probe is all I need 90% of the time.

I’ve done a few cooks on my Searwood XL so far and am super impressed. I think you’ll love it, but interested to hear about your first cooks when you get it. Enjoy!

OHHHH BABY!!! Come to papa!!! I’m gonna get her seasoned here right after work! Woot wooooot!!! And yes, I ordered probes for nothing but I really need two, I’ll send one back. What a day! Now I’m off to engineer a grease catching method that will work!! Here comes the burn in!!

Awesome

I installed the rotisserie as well. I am wondering if there is a way to purchase additional attachments for the skewers...
