Cleaned out the SmokeFire, set it at 225 to smoked cream cheese…went there, but won’t stay. It’s at 300 now…?! Did the uninstall reinstall of Weber grill app.. vacuumed out inside really well. . Weber says do factory reset of controller. So we shall see after this cook if that works.

Well I did the factory reset. Updated and set at 200. Stay there for a couple minutes then started climbing again. Ambient temp never stopped moving….sigh. Will call tomorrow. Said they would send me another controller. Webers the best.

Uh yes and no. I mean I did to make sure the cream cheese wasn’t getting melted. But if I have it set at 225 and it’s climbing to 300 and staying there…something is off. My ambient probe I have in there also climbs up too…over the marked 225. I played with the temp setting some and it doesn’t matter what I set it too200-250 won’t go to and stay right there, on both ambient and internal gauges.

Ah, I see. I was just wondering if you left the lid open enough to get the temp and reading to lower if it would settle in there or if it would climb back to 300 again. Good luck with that one. Sorry to hear that.
