Probably goes without saying, but in case anybody new to this stuff reads this: Don’t forget to update the controller firmware before your cook. The latest one made some nice changes to the temp controls (stability-wise.) I haven’t paid that much attention to mine, but several people on the Smokefire subreddit have commented that it’s a welcome and nice software update from Weber.
