My first brisket ever

I’m so happy
Did my first brisket… not only on my EX6 but mt first ever!!!
It turned out absolutely fantastic!!!


Seasoned the brisket and let set on the fridge for 6 hours.
Took it to the smoker FAT DOWN
2 hours in smokeboost
8 hours at 225
Wrap….re-hydrated the brisket with beef broth
4 hours at 250
Opened the foil and let it breath for 15 minutes to reset the bark
Wrap in foil and towel
4 hours in a cooler

Tasteful, tender, so moist, great smoke ring
Also the EX6 performed as a champ
Massachusetts, 15 degrees out, temp control was rock solid, no problems with the hopper
I also used a secondary amb probe to monitor the pit temp… it was impressively neck and neck all the way
Extremely happy

Looks awesome! Great job, love the smoke ring the SmokeFire puts on!! I need to do another brisket!
 
Looks great, love brisket just hardly ever cook it For some reason.
 
Well with meat prices being so outrageous, I’ve kind of backed off brisket…but that looks spectacular! Well done, excellent smoke ring. The SmokeFire is a beast at brisket.
