HOT! Manual mode

It's 50degrees (freedom units) out and can't seem to get above 160 on searwood 600xl on manual mode. I set it to 600, waited a bit. Opened up grill and set patties on. Dropped to 150 and hasn't gone up. Manual mode is set to 10. Anyone having the same issue? I thought it was suppose to feed it more pellets to reach those temps
