Having a problem maintaining a consistent temp of 225 while monitoring with an external monitor, anyone else seeing this?

I also have trouble maintaining temp have to constantly turn dial up and down to get to temp I want

I am having the same problem. If I didn’t run extra probes it wouldn’t be as visible. I can only be close when I set it to 225 or less. I will update my excel in a bit and upload the results here from a rib cook. I only opened the lid about once per hour but it was cooking them too fast so I kept having to bump temp down.
I’m loving the quality of the food and the versatility of the cooker, but right now I’m putting in more effort than a stick burner?!? Stay tuned for data...

I used an external ambient probe the first couple cooks and it stayed relatively close to what the grill was set and reported. They definitely have some sort of algorithm on what temp is displayed since it stays pretty consistent for me unless lid is open. I didn’t track it but mine was generally within 10 to 15 degrees of what I had it set to once lid had been closed for a bit to even out.
