How do you store your pellets?

This is probably bad, but I bought the cover and just leave them in the hopper...😬

It’s humid here in summer so I’m nervous to leave them in hopper unless for sure using next day and dry forecast.

I have 3 mini trash cans with locking lids. I used to use these to store my wood chunks for the WSM. I drilled out a couple 1/4 hole around the top to allow air flow. I keep my bags in a patio storage bench thingy. It's handy, it also holds my 2 gal shop vac for easy clean up. When I fill a mini can with pellets, I will put the bag label in there so I remember what is what. I use a pint sized cup to scoop out the pellets when loading the hopper to help cut down on dust getting in the system.View attachment 1534View attachment 1535View attachment 1536
Very nice!

Here is an interesting one- looks like they are now making one specific for pellets. Dimensions are the same as the ice melt

I looked at that one, since it also looks to be convenient for loading pellets into the hopper. However, after more review, I went with the larger Buddeez Kingsford unit since it both holds 2 full bags of Weber pellets, but because the tops appeared to fit tighter. Just a matter of preference.

I agree its overkill but very cool overkill! Moisture is the enemy of pellets and living on the north left coast we get moisture A LOT. Always keep my pellets in the garage bucket.
North left? Did you mean northe west, or was that a dig meaning both. I’m originally from near Olympia, Wa.

I store some of mine in the garage and usually some in a plastic container out by the grill. I just twist the bag shut and stuff it in the container and close the lid.

It arrived and sadly is not watertight. I leave mine out on the deck and water will come right through this tarp because the spout. I am going to stick with the other charcoal ones I have that are black and blue

Exactly why I went with the larger units...those do have tight seals. However, I still prefer to keep them in the garage.

Yup I hve been using those for charcoal for a while and leave them out in the rain/snow/// etc. and have never had a problem. I am thoroughly impressed. It's ridiculous that they just added a spout to that lid with no seal and called it a "pellet container". sending it back...

Good to know, I have 3 of the other ones and was tempted by the spout on these. I do keep mine in the garage too.

I keep my open ones in a £5 plastic tub which is designed to go under the bed. They're easy to carry and they stack up in the garage.

The good lady let me have one of her old 2L plastic kitchen jugs to scoop the pellets, it fits inside the hopper (just).
