Sounds like it may be the pellets getting damp or they are bad pellets. I really don’t think there is a huge difference in pellets. And you never know maybe you got a bag that somehow got damp, or whatever.

I have been using this grill for 5 months with no problems. The little computer screen said “flame out. I clean out the grill every time before using it again. I vacuum out the ash and clean any grease droppings. I never cook without a drip pan, so there is very little grease in the bottom. The glowplug is properly installed.

So, the Flame Out alarm is triggered anytime the grill falls below 130°. You had a bridging issue, created a void, then it cleared itself. I would suggest cleaning the grill removing all of the pellets that were unburned remove the auger, (make sure you empty the hopper first) and any dust that is packed around the back of the auger and in the auger chamber. Put her back together and roll. Enough people of already mentioned removing the finger guard so do that…
