So I did my first low and slow on the new EX4 yesterday. Always have ribs on Labor Day, kind of a family tradition. A lot easier now that the wife and I are empty nesters, one rack is plenty for us! I used the 3-2-1 method, with the 1st hour on Smokeboost, 225 the rest of the cook. Wrapped with brown sugar, honey and butter.
The grill performed perfectly. I have yet to have any of the problems that I kept reading about. Pellets fed fine for 6 hrs, maintained perfect temp, it didn't go up in flames and burn my house down. All in all a good cook. Used my Coffee dry rub, turned out just like the wife likes them, fall off the bone good! A slow cooked baked potato to go along with them, perfect meal.
