Didn’t know which thread to put this in . Does anyone use a small shop vac to clean out the smokefire ?

That looks pretty slick. I usually scoop the ash from my fireplace because the diffrerent shop vacs I have I don’t think would block the ash from getting in the air. Might have to look little harder at one of these.

Looking for a small one that will fit in my outside “grill cabinet “

I use a portable small hand held vacuum that charges via USB. It has 10 inch-1 inch diameter hose and a brush attachment. I use a cheap paint brush to brush all ash to the bottom of the cook unit, brush it down into the ash/grease box below and vacuum out the fire pot and any other debris.

Here is my setup - stores pellets and holds a craftsman 2 gallon shop vac.
