Cleaning Crafted Dual Sided Sear Grate

If I'm grill a steak or chicken with a messy marinate on the sear grate it can be hard to clean. Anyone have suggestions for cleaning the empty squares when charred bit get stuck?

I have a light duty power washer. I bet it would clean those squares fairly well. Otherwise, I think you would need a narrow wire brush to rotate inside those spaces.
