I just bought some aluminum catch trays for my grill but wonder if anyone uses foil to cover the big drip pan with the drain hole in it. Of course, I wouldn’t cover the drain hole. Its a Weber Gas Grill 310 Model 53282. Wonder if it is ok to do this. Can you give me an answer. Thank you.

I have aways lined my drip tray with HD aluminum foil. Yes, you have to punch a hole to allow grease to pass to the grease pan. Change the foil every 5 or 6 cooks depending on what you are grilling. the fattier your meat and hotter you grill, the more often you'll need to change the foil.
