Hi all,
Doing my 3rd brisket on my 2nd generation 6EX. Started it last night, checked it at midnight, and this morning around 7am I wrapped the most beautiful brisket with tons of bark (internal temp was 160°). So I'm thinking this will be the best one yet... imagine my surprise when I check again around 9am and the darn thing is shut down and my probe is reading 140!
I have no idea what happened but it was pretty much locked up and I had to cycle the power switch and then set the target temp again. It took a while to get rolling and now it seems to be back to normal but man this has got me on edge... came close to ruining this cook I think.
I saw there is another thread mentioning one that went into shut down mode but I wasn't out here to hear if that's what happened.
