Hello all,

I am making Tilapia tonight on the Smokefire, and I need some guidance on how to cook it. It is 2lbs.

Not a big fan of Tilapia personally but I’d set the cooker to 400 and cook to IT of 145 or so. Easy peasy. Season with whatever trips your trigger.

I actually like talapia. I would use cast iron skillet, or cedar planks. I do not like lemon pepper, but I do suggest a couple for squeezing on after cooked. I like blackened seasoning, or a Cajun seasoning.

Hate to even mention it but my issue is mental. Used to eat it fairly frequently but saw a documentary on the farms they are produced from and have been totally ruin by it. I can’t unsee the images. Very nice mild fish for sure. Just not for me anymore, unfortunately. 🤢
 
I have a golf buddy who worked in a hotdog production site during college and has not had a processed tube meat since. 40years and going. 😀

Thankfully I’ve never seen that. 😁
