Smokefire EX6
Hi All

When I first joined this forum I had just purchased my Smokefire, and to say it had teething issues was an understatement. The grill had both mechanical and software issues, and Weber was in the middle of their own internal changes. In essence, it was a perfect storm of bad. I rained on them, and rained on them hard.

Fast forward to today, and I don't think I could be happier with this grill. The quality of the food, plus the ease of use, together are just a killer combination. I've had the best chicken of my life cooked on the Smokefire, trout takes hickory smoke incredibly well, ribs are incredible with the 3-2-1 method, and my mom asked me to smoke up our Christmas turkey because she likes it so much.

All of this to say that Weber f'd up in the beginning, but they made good, and my friends and family have enjoyed incredibly tasty food for almost a year once things got fixed. Fact is if it fails I'm buying another one, it's that good.

I'll throw shade when it's deserved, but I'll also give credit where credit is due. The company did step up when things were wrong, and I couldn't be happier now that things are fixed.

Sorry for the book I just wrote. But I rained hard and felt the need to say that the situation was fully fixed.

As one of the first owners I can say it was a frustrating beginning.
Now I’m really excited about the SearWood, I can’t wait to see the improvements they make.

I have exactly 2 weeks with my new Stealth and after a good many hours doing research and watching videos but I was still a little apprehensive. The one thing that stuck with me throughout all the up and down comments were that Weber had amazing customer service and had taken the time to listen to their customers and drive changes to their initial mistakes. When they dropped the price prior to Xmas I couldn't resist. My first pellet smoker.

Ther reason for this reply to this post is to thank this forum for the honest opinions on this cooker and what they have done, along with Weber, to bring this grill to what it is today along with tips and tricks for the success I've had this far. look forward to many years of great food (with your help)

Good on you for the update. I had seen your previous comments (and many others' comments) and that kept me away from the SF. Weber came reasonably close to ceasing operations in 2022 due to financial issues.

Fast-forward to now. Weber seems to be back, with good products and support.

Thanks for the update @Barkley

I'm glad to see Weber keep improving on their pellet grill design and really excited to see what the new Sear wood is all about. I've already warned the wife :ROFLMAO:

Picked up my Stealth about 8 months ago and when I saw that price drop it hurt just a little. However I think it was worth the price and have had great results with it. Enjoy.
