Has anyone had to replace the thermocouple on an EPX6? My unit has never held the setpoint temperature and always overshoots by 50-60 degrees and stays there no matter what the setpoint is. Not much good when you're trying to smoke something and it's that hot. We've replaced a number of other components to try and rectify the issue and this is pretty much the last suggestion Weber has.

Not exactly the easiest replacements based on a couple of read throughs of the manual and there are no videos that I can find on line about it. If anyone has done this, any tips, tricks or traps I should be aware of?

Hello, changing the Temperature Sensor is not difficult. However, the pellet tank must be loosened so that the new sensor can be fitted. It is best to have a second person help you with this.

Thanks, it wasn't as difficult as it sounded. Did have to pull the hopper all the way off as the thermocouple was tucked in to the wiring harness. Works like a champ now, held steady at all 5 setpoint checks to 550 degrees.
