Does the SF get hot enough to self-clean? Would love to turn this grease into ash....

600. Yes!

Does anyone do this? What are the results? Best pellets to do this with? How long?

I've done it before. Kind of carbonizes the grease etc. then its easy to clean/brush off the grates etc. I'm terrible at cleaning my Smokefire though. i don't remember how long I did it but a good long while I'm sure. Don't need to go all the way to 600 by any means. the fat should combust and burn at far less. It will go faster however a t the higher temps.
