I have had a couple issues with my Searwood's controller. Try keeping the grill plugged in and disconneted and reconnect the wire in back of the controller. It worked for me.I'm suprised when I start the searwood it takes 1/2 hr., and that it heads up to ~350 degrees before coming to target temp.
Is this normal?
Thanks!

On my grill (others may be different) if I set 275 it takes about 10 minutes for the display to show 275. The actual temperature is around 350 and over the course of about 10 additional minutes the temperature drops to around 225-250 and settles in there. On my grill I have to set at 330 to get an actual 275. And being a pellet grill the temp bumps up & down 30-50 degrees with occasional bumps of 100 degrees. The display shows a steady 275 the entire time. None of this is a problem but as I prefer to cook to a known temperature I ignore the display on the grill and in the app. All temperatures I’m referring to on my grill were taken with a FireBoard probe clipped to the grate just below the built in probe.Half hour?
