First sear about to happen. I noticed the app says to not use the probe for temps over 370 but I see it used for the sear on a lot of form pics. Will 600/10 kill my probe?

I've only run my Smokefire up to 600 degrees once (just to see if it could do it) and had two other probes in the grill to track. They were iGrill probes so not the ones that came with the grill but they're exactly the same (Weber bought iGrill a few years after I got the iGrill2). Anyway within 5-10 degrees they reported the same temps as the onboard probe and still work fine. I'm a sear-first kind of guy and always do my steaks over lump and mesquite in my Weber kettle... tried the reverse sear method once but feel more comfortable getting my sear on first and finishing indirect.
