Not maintaining heat

I have had my smoke fire ex4 for about two months now. I mostly use it for low and slow cooks however I have tried to grill with it a few times now and the grill will not maintain 400 deg or higher. It constantly runs 100-150 deg less than the desired temp. Any help troubleshooting would be appreciated.

Pellets can cause this..
As well as an auger that is compacted with pellet dust or a burn pot that is not assembled correctly.
