Thank you for the admit. I am an old man, that owned Ugly drum smokers, char broil offset and a vertical offset. I am an older individual, who did not find it fun tending to fires to bbq. To make it easier for me I purchased the Searwood Xl through ACE Hardware. Did my first cook of spareribs yesterday, and I think I over cooked them a tad bit. New learning curve.

Yes, it is. First two or three cooks might be disappointing, but ya learn.

Congrats on the new Searwood and welcome to the forum! What are you thinking about trying out next?

Welcome! Always takes a bit to learn the tendencies of a new cooker.
