Weber Searwood XL 600
Hello All,

I’ve been a longtime Traeger grill owner (early model) and had a Charmglow grill for many years until it rusted out. I did my review search and decided to purchase the Weber Searwood 600 XL to replace both my units since the 600 could reach searing temperatures up to 600 degrees. I’m a hobbyist when it comes to grilling and smoking. I don’t enter contests or anything like that. I’ve purchased the rotisserie unit and a cover to protect my investment. I chose Weber over Traeger due to budget and ability to reach higher temperatures than the Traeger units. Looking to collaborate with other Weber owners on this forum for advice and exchange of ideas.

Welcome aboard! One more person to share hints and wisdom! But be warned, the Searwood will never replace charcoal or gas for that "grate burn", but comes closer than most any other.

I would have to disagree, I got great grate burns. When it's turned up on 10 manual and going full blast, couple of steaks perfect. I then turn it down put a probe In it to cook til 130. Wife likes it at 135. That's what's good having to probes. Remember prives can't go over 375, or something close. It will tell you in your app when you plug it in. Pretty cool
