and in the meantime, I'm here! I ordered the Searwood XL 600, which should arrive the day before Thanksgiving. I'm new to pellet grills, so I just joined the forum to learn from all of you. My previous grilling and smoking has been with gas and charcoal. The gas grill finally bit the dust after 18 years, and the Komodo Kamado does great but doesn't allow me to be as spontaneous as the gas does. So, I'll be trying the pellet option soon. I live in Louisiana and look forward to the exchange of experiences...thanks for being here!
