- Weber Searwood 600 Pellet Grill
I have been using Weber Products for years. We started with the small kettle, worked our way up to the Summit and then back down to our Genesis 330 gas weber today. In between we had 6 other Weber gas grills. I have also been a fan of smoked meat and owned one of the first small CookShack models. I used it for many years, but then got acquainted with pellet grills. Friends have Traeger, Pit Boss and others. I have been researching the issues and found that rusting, lifetime of the pellet mechanism, pellet jamming etc are all concerns. As such, the Weber SmokeFire was of intense interest to me so I have been following all the information I can find. I am aware that Smokefire 2 fixed some of the issues, but I held out purchasing until the Searwood was released. It seems to resolve the outstanding issues. We live in Mesa, AZ which as you all know is HOT and DRY so I don't expect problems with the pellets. But I in the past, I used a lot of oak chips in the Cookshack and likes the flavor. I checked Weber for oak pellets but they don't have them. So, my question is can I use other pellet grill oak pellets in my Searwood without issue? Thanks
