Well after replacing the latest round of parts auger and tube. I thought things would get better the new firmware upgrade and software seemed to offer me some new hope. Well on 6/7 after half a brisket I had a flameout, I cleaned it up for a restart then it wouldn't power on. 2 hours on hold with weber before the tech answered. She was nice but really didn't have a clue, so now they are sending me a new harness and controller which haven't shipped yet. The Sagaaaaaa continues its turning into a mini-series.

Ugh that sucks. Sorry you are having such problems.

My mini-series with my EX6 ran from February until late May. It included replacing the auger assembly and control box/panel. I finally had Weber pick my grill up recently and they did the right thing and gave me a full refund. I really tried to make it work and wanted to as a longtime Weber fanatic. The Smokefire I had was a lemon and I've moved on to a Rec Tec 700.

Can’t blame you for giving up with all those issues. Good luck with the Rec tec, they look nice.

LakeBurn - My Smokefire EX6 is a true lemon. I would like to have Weber take mine back and get a refund. I have sent multiple emails, they just want to swap parts and tell me to clean the fire pot, I can't even get through to the customer service people on the phone. Had many many problems since taking delivery in February. How did you manage to get through and get a response? Thanks!

I have not needed to contact CS, but from several responses I've read here and other places online the best strategy seems to be CALLING them immediately when they open, I believe that is 7AM Central time. Others have reported success in using the 'callback' option. Universally the reports are that email takes forever to receive a response. Good luck!

send Info to the lawyers who are doing the class action lawsuit

well, I finally got the controller but that didn't fix my issue. Still won't power on. Tech support isn't responding to emails and its hard fro me to find time to call before they close. This sucks!
