E3 notification

Trying to cook a brisket on the ex6 but both times I’ve tried it triggers an e3 notification and shuts down the grill. How long can a pellet grill cook for? Seems to happen around 4 hours. anyone else have this problem?

I think E3 is flameout, have you removed the finger guard or cleaned out the auger? What type of pellets, some are bigger and don’t work as well in the SF. I sometimes push the pellets around a bit on longer cooks but haven’t really had flameout issues since removing the finger guard. I’ve done many cooks of 10+ hours.

As long as there is power and the hopper has pellets, it can cook.

This is the finger guard.
Take it out.

Thanks for the help. Hopefully this fixes the problem

Take one screw out at a time since the hold the auger chute in place. It definitely helped with my SF.

But put the screws back in! They secure the pellet chute.
