Before I even finished assembling my new searwood xl I said this is getting changed now.
I ordered swivel/locking castors and 3/4” plastic blocks on Amazon , aluminum channel from Grainger and started cutting and grinding.
Luckily I have the tools to do this kind of stuff.
I only removed the lower shelf female thread studs on the long sides of the lower shelf. Leave the ones on the narrow side and just cut a counterbore in the plastic block to side over it. Now I don’t have to pick this thing up on one end and it turns like a breeze. Even my lovely shop assistant says it is better.
