SmokeFire EX4 gen2
Hi all,

I need some advice...
When done grilling, smoking and shutting down my SmokeFire, I empty the hopper by opening the slide on the bottom.
After this, there are still pellets in the auger room. Now I store my Smokefire outside in a small porch, so under a roof, with the Weber cover.
Climate here in the Netherlands is not really dry.
In your opinion, can I leave in these last pellets, or will the pellets become moist and hurt my grill?

Thanks!
Peter

We’ve had quite a bit of rain here. I’ve not had problems with my pellets. I use my grill every couple of weeks. If you are concerned, check the pellets in the augur for shininess and snap before you start it up. If they look bad, replace them.

I wouldn't worry a bit. I would not dump the pellets unless you live in the Amazonian rainforest, Then its a toss up. Good luck and Happy grilling!

Thanks a lot, will leave them in and see how it turns out. I will post if anything pops up.
Loving this grill!!!

I empty if not going to use it and rain in forecast but I don’t think it’s necessary. I used to do it because changed type of pellets a lot but and became habit. now usually use Grillmaster blend most of the time. It’s humid here in summer but haven‘t had any issues.
