In the process of burning in my new Searwood 600. However, the digital display on the front is almost unreadable due to overlays of a number on top of the temperature and temperature setting displays. Se attached photo which somewhat captures the problem.
It did complete the update, and I restarted it, but this issue hasn't changed. Just got off a long phone number with Weber support, but got nowhere. The representative that I was talking to had me send him a picture of it. Eventually he said this needed to go to "new product support". I was told you cannot talk to them directly, that they would e-mail me about my issue?

Thats it? I have a full gallon of bring working on ten chicken thighs for people coming over tonight, and that's all I get from customer support?

Did you peal the shipping film off?
I didn't realize there was a shipping film on the display. I initially did a spot check, and rubbed my finger over the display to see if there was a edge of film to remove it with. Not finding that, I moved on to using it. Amazing that Weber customer service didnt even realize something that simple was almost certainly the problem. And they even had the picture to look at?

Its raining here today, but I'll go out, uncover the Searwood, and remove that film. Thank you!

They put it on so you would know what you were looking at before you turned it on the first time.

Good catch!
Glad you were able to help out. You would think Weber customer support would have/could have done a better job on something so simple. Not at all impressed with Weber's customer support!
