Hey Y'all,
I live in Novato, CA and love to grill (at least twice a week). I had a Weber Kettle grill (a Performer) for about 20 years and also went through a couple of different smokers. My last smoker was propane fired and it broke about 2 years ago. Don't have enough usable space in the back yard to keep a smoker and a grill, so I thought I would get the SmokeFire ELX4 Sear+.
It's a learning experience using a pellet grill. Really like how easy it is to start up and do simple things like steaks, fish, pork loins and such. I just did my first smoke. Wanted to smoke some salmon, but having a little difficulty keeping the temp down low enough (used a bunch of ice in a drip pan and turned on SmokeBoost). Anyway, I'll do some searches in the forum for others doing the same thing and keep trying.
Thanks to everyone and keep having fun.
